Chris Van Buren works closely with our family wealth clients supporting all aspects of our holistic investment consulting approach. Chris has been passionately providing investment consulting and advanced financial planning to high net worth and institutional clients for over a decade.

Most recently, Chris served as Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch in the Capital Region of New York. As prospective clients learned of his fiduciary approach and focus on client-centric service, his business developed rapidly. Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Lally School of Business in Troy, NY.

Chris is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and earned his Certified Private Wealth Advisor® certification which was administered by the Investments & Wealth Institute and taught in conjunction with The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Known for his humor and love of the outdoors, Chris devotes many weekends to exploring New York’s wilderness. He is most at home on beautiful Raquette Lake, unwinding with his wife, daughter and dog, Kota.
