Sixth Interest Rate Increase for 2022 Causes Volatility in the Stock Market

NextAdvisor/TIME recently interviewed LVW Advisors’ Ashley Sullivan, CFP®, private wealth advisor, on Fed’s recent actions.  All eyes have been on the Fed as they raised rates by .75 bps for the fourth consecutive time last week to combat inflation. “In terms of the Fed raising rates, it was very much anticipated,” stated Ashley, referring to the latest increase. As for the market volatility since the announcement, she shared, “I think what the market’s trying to interpret now is: when will the Fed stop raising rates? When will we hit that terminal rate?”
